So grateful….

I am so grateful for family.  I have my niece Mayte visiting so we have more family gathered at the Salomon household this year.  Also, Elizabeth brought a friend from college who lives in Hawaii and she wasn’t able to go home for the break.  Of course, I am grateful I have my mom and my 98 year old grandfather to join us for a traditional Thanksgiving feast.  I have a pumpkin cheesecake in the oven….a favorite of my family.

I am grateful for the wonderful response to my plea for prayer partners.  The excitement, the prayers…….I am so grateful.  Also, I am working on prayer partners from all the Continents.   Does anyone have a Christian friend from Australia?

Read some of the wonderful responses to my request for prayer partners:

“Your are absolutely correct. I cannot put my finger on it, but Jesus once encountered a demon that he said could only be exorcised with prayer. And your are so right that it is a special battle. Once we realize what we are up against, we know how to prepare and arm ourselves with the whole armor of God…I will pray for you all   I would not be a Lutheran nor a pastor nor a lot of good things (by the grace of God) were it not for Lutheran Schools.”

“I am sure that anything into which you’ve invested your beautiful life is also worth a portion of mine – for both time and eternity. So please know that as the Lord encourages my heart for you, I will give Him thanks for you and your church, His work your church life, the people who will be served in His name. I am proud to do it.”

“YES! YES! AND YES!…….I will commit to praying for this new mission opportunity DAILY!  This is such a worthy, God directed plan and everything is possible with Him….in his perfect time!!!”

“Count me in!  I will gladly pray for the new mission.  Give me a couple days also to enlist support from our prayer chain and from others here in this community.  Send me any updates and I’ll check your blog regularly as well.  I may have some other email addresses to share with you if others also commit to pray.”

“Thanks for thinking of me with your prayer request. I would be honored

to pray for this important mission. If it is the Lords will, He will

make it happen. Every day when I rock my little one to sleep, I’ll keep

this mission in my prayers. Please keep me posted.”

“Absolutely!  I am privileged to be asked to pray. Please keep me posted.”

“Most certainly, I will share the need with those dedicated to the ministry of intercession in our midst and beyond.”

“We would be happy to pray with you about this project.  I would love to know more about it.  I would like to know more and how we can be of help.”

“Precious Heavenly Father, I pray for my fellow Christians who have come across an obstacle that only you can lift.  I pray that you give Concordia Lutheran Church courage and faith as they launch there new mission. Keep there faith strong and remind them that you will help them overcome all of the stumbling blocks they must cross before they accomplish your will for a mission in this area of Chula Vista.  Help them to keep focused on the following scriptures so they may never be discouraged.

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

-Psalm 31:24

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

-Luke 12:32

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  -Psalm 46:1

I lift up mine eyes to the hills from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and earth. -Psalm 121:1-2

If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. -Psalm 139:9-10

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. -Romans 8:28

I will continue to partner with you and other in prayer.”

“Yes, include me. I will pray for the Lord’s success there.”

Yes, Of course!  We’ll be glad to add the mission to our prayer list.
