Tuesdays with Amelie

Tuesdays with Amelie.  It was drizzling rain when Leesa and Amelie arrived…..so, Amelie arrived with this cute little hat on.  Is it possible for her to be any cuter?

Put March 31 on your calendar – Day of Creativity

We had a good time on Saturday.  We welcomed Shari who is just beginning to scrapbook and is starting with a small album for her nephew and Stacey came with a large box of photos and we helped organize probably about 1,500 photos all of which were undated and some had slight water damage.  We are not done yet but the light is clearly visible at the end of the tunnel.  Congratulations Stacey! Sam took time to organize, process and plan.  Leesa worked on a layout of Amelie’s first week home from the hospital.  I finished a layout for Leesa and a senior page for Kayli’s yearbook.

Newsflash!  Amelie is now mobile and crawling!

Put March 31 on your calendar which is our next day of Creativity. It will be an open house from 10am to 8pm.  All women are welcomed.  Let me know if you are planning on coming so I can set up enough tables.

Also, the first three to comment on my site before the crop, I will design and put together a layout for you with your photos!  Amber commented before the last crop but got sick and couldn’t come to the crop.  Amber, I will do your layout at our March meeting.

One of my Valentine’s

A very quick layout dedicated to my son who is sick with a cold at college.  I literally took 15 minutes to put this one together with Wilna’s heart art.  I love Wilna’s work. Visit her at www.wilnaf.blogspot.com

Like my new blog?

I am using WordPress a new blogging service (free!)…….

I had to post these again. They just make me smile.  I wish my photography skills could take some credit….but they are all just the beauty of little Amelie.

Day of Creativity…

Gals, Don’t miss the upcoming Day of Creativity!  We had such fun at the last one!  We received a wonderful donation of scrapbook supplies….luscious papers, embellishments, rub ons, tags, etc……so bring your photos, your adhesive, a cutter (or scissors) and see what you can accomplish to take home from the supplies we have on hand.  I also have the Quickutz die cutting tool and lots of stamps, punches, etc for you to use!  There will be expert help and best of all….lots of girl time!

We will again have this Open House style……come all day, or escape for just a couple of hours!  It begins at 10am and ends at 8pm.  Ten hours of scrapbooking…..my idea of a perfect day.  If at all possible, rsvp.  to mgsalomon@gmail.com or 619 216 2500.  That way I have enough tables set up.  I want to make sure you have space to scrapbook!

Something new!  For those of you who leave me a comment here answering this question, “What I want to accomplish in my scrapbooking.”  I will put the names in a basket and choose three names and I WILL DESIGN AND SCRAP A LAYOUT FOR YOU WITH YOUR PHOTOS on that Saturday!  It is fun to see how someone else with a different style approaches your photos!  Send in your comments by the 15th before 5pm and at 6pm or thereabouts I will let you know the three winners.  Even if you can’t make the scrap on the 17th, if you email me your photos and journaling, I will produce your layout.  What do you think about this experiment?  Let’s try it out. I am sure it will be fun!

I was thinking about doing some mini workshops that day too.  What about a half hour class on photography tips?  Would that be helpful?  Let me know.

Mom Advice #532

This was a quick layout using some scraps from another project.  Moms give tons of advice to their children……usually to the embarrassment and chagrin of their children!
